Located in historic Beaufort, North Carolina, Moores Marine Yacht Center covers 18 acres just off of the Intracoastal Waterway.

The yacht center has at its disposal a 220-ton, 75-ton and 45-ton Travelifts and Moores Marine’s crew uses laser targeting technology to assure that yachts are carefully and gently placed on land in the same shape as they were in the water.

Moores Marine has completed more than 100 major projects in South Florida, where it was founded in 1986, and in North Carolina, specializing in the best custom American yacht ever built, Trumpy yachts.
In addition to award-winning major restorations and refits, 90 percent of our clients are returning customers who count on us for their annual maintenance, including wood repairs, bottom paint, bright work and system updates.

The yacht center is in the midst of a five-phase development plan. We have a state-of-the-art boat shop with a mezzanine-deck designed to allow us to walk directly on to the deck of our projects. The boat shop accommodates yachts up to 65 feet.

Our offices include a captain’s lounge, antique yacht artifacts including the deckhouse from the 1912 Trumpy yacht Ibis, and a boardroom table that was a gift from Anwar Sadat.

Coming in 2009 is the JDW building, our shop large enough to accommodate yachts up to 90 feet.

Other amenities include WiFi, complementary airport shuttle, crew showers, coffee bar, and laundry facilities.

Moores Marine has been recognized as a leader in yacht restorations. We were the featured presenter at the 2008 International Boatbuilder’s Exhibition & Conference, IBEX, for “Wooden Yacht Repair: Following in the Footsteps of the Masters,” and we have been recognized by Professional Boatbuilder and Wooden Boat magazines.
